It's difficult and risky as you may turn your laptop into a doorstop if you are not sure of what you are doing. Tried it myself in WinHex and a BIOS editor. Not impossible but a lot of work for someone not really adept at doing this. Some of the newer BIOS code is almost impossible to hack to get it to accept non-vendor specific cards.
Note: A generic card may work but just be aware it may cause problems. All this assumes that your WiFi card is not an embedded one and can be removed and replaced with a different card, and that your vendor provides this card for that laptop. 3) Repairing disk permissions may also be necessary. Once it does it should work rock solid and very fast.

2) You may have to install the Ralink driver more than once before it will install properly. And the Realtek HD Audio Manager is their best audio driver which can be used on all Windows 10 computer irrespective of the manufacturer as it is a universal driver.

If you disable the card then the BT may still work but the WiFi never will because the OS can't detect it on the PCIE side. Realtek has developed various universal drivers for Windows 10 computer including things like network drivers and audio drivers. So in effect a card with the same chipset but from a different vendor may not let you boot with the card enabled in the BIOS. Just remember 3 things: 1) Purchase the card from the vendor and not 3rd party as some laptop manufacturers such as HP and IBM have a BIOS that looks for vendor IDs before bootup. BT works OOTB with no driver at all but WiFi does require Ralink's driver. Says 10.5 compatible, but works on 10.6.7 beautifully. My solution was to purchase a Ralink re3090bc4 b,g,n, (WiFi Bluetooth Combo which uses a USB/PCIE Interface) and I used the OSX drivers on their website. That card didn't work well in other OSs either. Just kept getting a self-assigned ip address. There is a driver available on Realtek's website and at but I doubt you will get it to work.
